A four-day performance festival held in cooperation with Akureyri Art Museum, Akureyri culture society (MAk), Akureyri Theatre (LA), LÓKAL international theatre festival, Reykjavík Dance Festival and Icelandic Art Center (KÍM). Visual artists will conduct theatre-based performances and actors will stage performance-based pieces. The idea is for the festival to become a regular event in Akureyri and that the participants be both local artists and artists from abroad.

A! was held for the first time in 2015 and was a success with more than 1.500 happy visitors. Participants at the A! 2015 festival were well-known performance artists, theatre artists and young up-and-coming artists.

At the same time, the video art festival Heim (Home) was held in Akureyri as well as “off venue” performances all over town.
