Georg Óskar (born 1985) completed his diploma in fine Arts at the Akureyri School of Visual Arts in 2009 and an MFA degree from the Faculty of Fine Art, Music and Design in Bergen, Norway, in 2016. His works have been exhibited in Iceland, Spain, Germany, China, USA, UK, and Norway.

His art consists of an observation of daily life, nature, and human interactions. One of the essential characteristics of his work is the aim to present new viewpoints that reflect the human condition and our complicated present time.

In this exhibition he focuses on projecting memories from his upbringing in Akureyri. The personal connection he has to the town makes this exhibition unusually soft. The viewer is taken on a journey through memories and the artist‘s roots, where it all began: In the postal code 603.
